Founded in 1865, Bowie State University (BSU) is the oldest Historically Black College/University in Maryland and one of the ten oldest in the country.

My role was to evaluate, maintain the BSU brand experience. Keeping with the minimal, modern aesthetic, I decluttered their in-house communications, simplifying the messaging and injected a rich heritage throughout. This resulted in various design projects, and the successful “Find Strength, Take Pride” branding campaign with new advertising placements throughout the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas.
